Reality TV

Amy won!

Sweet! Amy won! I was a little concerned at the beginning of the show, but she managed to get the votes. I'm really glad she pulled ahead of Rory. Amy's cooking, presentation, and knowledge was vastly superior, in my opinion. I can't wait to see what her show looks like.

Chalk one up for the voters - ya got it right!

Moving My Reality TV Content

I'm moving all my Reality TV content over here: http://www.realityrant.com/ EXCEPT for the Next Food Network Star, since there's only one episode left. Ah well... REALITY TV RULES!

I knew it!!! JAG gets JAGged up.

I knew something was not Kosher with that JAG dude. He's a JAGass. He's a JAGoff. And, he's a liar! Why the hell would you lie about your military and educational background on a nationally broadcast television show? Did he think he could get away with it? Probably. Did he think this would make him appear more impressive? Maybe. If the guy just told the truth, and opened up about his past a little, he might have gotten some sympathy votes, or something. But, what's up with him bad-mouthing Food Network on the radio?

America's Got Talent Pisses Me Off

So, I guess I figured it out... It's the FOX network, right? They had plenty of success with the whole Sanjaya thing, so they decided to put through Boy Shakira and Bollywood guy to the top 20. Certainly this was much more for the reason of publicity (there's no such thing as bad press?) rather than talent.

America's Got Talent, but why are The British deciding it?

You've got to be kidding me. You've really just got to be kidding me. Is this some sort of joke? Or are the Judges just trying to mess with people's minds? Are they bored, and just putting through acts they think would be funny? Whatever the case, it's not working.

On The Lot, Tough Choice

Now, here's a show that's unique. Directing movies is definitely a skill that I feel is a little more difficult to attain than others. There are a lot of things involved in creating a good movie. You need a good script, set of characters and actors. You need to have good, quality equipment, and the ability to utilize this equipment properly. Once shot, the film has to be edited, and possibly treated with filters. I have a lot of respect for people who create movies, shorts, and anything to do with visual media.

Hell's Kitchen - Who Cares?

This show has all the makings for good reality TV. There's a bunch of people competing to win a big prize, contestents forced to work with each other that have conflicting personalities, huge egos, rewards, punishments, and an angry British dude. What's not to like?

I missed the first season. Probably because it wasn't publicized enough. I did, however, watch every last bit of the second season. I had chosen a favorite to win, and I had those that I couldn't stand to see on the show. I really enjoyed the way it played out, and I couldn't wait for each new episode.

The Next Food Network Star, The Final Three

So, I'm a sucker for Reality TV. I also happen to like cooking, and cooking shows. So, of course, I'm going to watch The Next Food Network Star.

Last night's episode was a disappointment. I really thought that Paul could pull it out, and at least make it to the final two. I guess the fact that Bobby Flay would send him home with a spice rack says something. The judges sent him packing without a spice rack, but I'll bet that's the first thing he buys when he gets home.
